    How Stereo Measurement Works?

     


    Pointed at the same target, the stereo dual-lens system sees a subtle change in the target’s position on the left and right lens. Parallax enables us to get the X, Y, and Z positions of each pixel from the object to calculate length, area, and depth.

  • There many advantage that articulating video borescopes offer.

    Most NDT applications have small, limited entrance that open into a much larger space. That is why having an articulating borescope is good for completing internal inspection without missing dead corner.

    However, not all applications require articulation. Some inspection applications have narrow diameters through the whole internal chambers, leaving little to no room for articulation. The most common of these applications is a gun barrel inspection, where a straight probe would be a more capable tool (even cost effective tool) to finish the job.

    When using remote video borescope to internal cracks, articulation is vital to guaranteeing that the full internal surface area is carefully examined.


    Like riding a scooter without being able to swing your head right to left, to head down and check your speed meter, or up to mind traffic signs. That similarity is alike to using a non-articulating borescope to examine internal parts. Inspections done with non-articulating borescopes can lead to many details being ignored, some of which can cause unsafe or risk situations.

    With advanced articulate inspection device like the 
    CT-5 video borescope, full internal inspections are accomplished with efficiency and the sureness that comes with being able to check all angles of internal cracks. When CT-5 cameras do not have to be repeatedly manipulate with the purpose of complete inspections, NDT technicians can safe valuable working time.

     

    Articulating borescopes has an insertion tube of a videoscope usually consists of inside steel wires for 360° / 2-way direction control. On both ends of steel wires, there are securing parts to make both ends fixed. To achieve the flexibility as well as reliability, the bending section at the front end and the Steering knob/joystick at the back end are the most critical. By turning/moving the knob/joystick at the handle, it can drive the strands steel wires to move and thus drive the front bending articulation tip to flexibly swing.
